Trip Objectives
Hiring a guide in Chamonix is the most effective way to unlock the terrain featured in our resort guide. The Compagnie des Guides is uniquely positioned for:
- Vallee Blanche: A 23 km glacier descent with 2000m vertical, best done with an IFMGA guide.
- Argentiere Glacier: Steep bowls, seracs and high-alpine routes requiring expert navigation.
- Aiguille du Midi: Direct access to 3842 m and the ridge entry to the Vallee Blanche.
- Aiguilles Rouges: Lift-accessed touring terrain with reliable snow and fewer crowds.
- Mont Blanc Range: Technical off-piste lines, glacier travel and high-mountain objectives.
