Piste to Powder is St. Anton’s original off-piste and mountain guiding team, operating since 1998 and staffed entirely by fully qualified IFMGA/UIAGM/IVBV mountain guides. Their focus is simple: deliver the best off-piste skiing in the Arlberg through expert guidance, small groups, and a commitment to safety, progression, and adventure.

Expert Mountain Guides

All Piste to Powder guides are fully qualified IFMGA/UIAGM/IVBV mountain guides, English-speaking and locally based in the Arlberg. With over 25 years of guiding experience, they combine deep terrain knowledge with a strong focus on tuition, safety and progression.

Off-Piste Guiding & Courses

Private Guiding

Tailor-made off-piste guiding for skiers and snowboarders, ideal for mixed-ability groups, weekend skiing, touring days, heli-assisted days or guests staying outside St. Anton. Your guide builds the day around your objectives, conditions and fitness.

Off-Piste Packages

Piste to Powder offers flexible off-piste packages including 3-day flexi options, 5-day progression programs and 10-day season passes for skiers staying longer in the Arlberg.

Arlberg Ski Touring

Lift-accessed ski touring days using short ascents (250–450 m vertical, 1–2 hours skinning) to reach quiet terrain and long descents. Suitable for Level 2–3 skiers with good fitness.

Open Off-Piste Groups (Levels 1–3)

Join a small open group matched to your off-piste level, Monday to Friday, 9:00–15:30. Groups range from entry off-piste skiers (Level 1) to advanced and expert off-piste skiers (Level 3) ready for steep and challenging terrain.

Location: St. Anton / Arlberg 

Off-Piste Intro Course (3 Days)

A rapid progression for skiers new to off-piste or with limited experience. The course combines intensive technique training with two full days of guided off-piste skiing in a small group, building confidence in powder and varied terrain.

Technique Booster (Half Day)

Half-day off-piste technique booster sessions aimed at Level 1–2 skiers who want fast progress. Ideal for improving short turns on steep red pistes and preparing for guided off-piste days. 

Avalanche Workshops

Three-hour avalanche safety workshops covering practical rescue skills, prevention strategies and equipment use. Ideal for ski touring and committed off-piste skiers.
